leading global experts, latest data, breakthrough findings

Welcome to the Joint Congress of the International Xenotransplantation Association (IXA) and the Cell Transplant and Regenerative Medicine Society (CTRMS), taking place virtually September 23-25, 2021.

During these challenging times, IXA and CTRMS are committed to upholding their educational mission. While we regret that the COVID pandemic has prevented us from meeting in person, we are excited about the many opportunities of holding an innovative virtual Congress. Thanks to conference technology that makes participation truly accessible to all corners of the globe, we anticipate our audience to be substantially larger than usual and more eager to reconnect.

The Joint IXA-CTRMS Virtual Congress will be an essential platform for continuing the much-needed dialogue and sharing the latest research findings and clinical advancements in our field. Leading experts and opinion leaders will present the latest data in a program designed to also offer multiple opportunities to network and connect with Congress attendees and faculty, build a sense of community, and set the stage for fruitful global collaborations.

On behalf of all our committee members working with passion to create an exceptional virtual program, we look forward to your participation and to welcoming you to the Congress for a stimulating, engaging, and rewarding experience.

Stay tuned for more announcements coming soon and, until then, please stay safe and healthy.

In Memoriam - Agnès Marie Azimzadeh, Ph.D

Agnès Azimzadeh passed away on March 15, 2021, after a courageous battle with intestinal cancer. She leaves her devoted husband, Djavad; their sons Julien and Philippe, and Julien’s wife Rebecca; her parents, Simone and Bernard Isabey; her brother Daniel Isabey; and her family-by-affection Li Ni and Julie Lin. The scientific and clinical transplant communities she touched at Massachusets General Hospital, University of Maryland, and around the world join her family in celebrating her life, and mourning her premature loss.
